Event: A Conversation on Homelessness and Libraries

Our featured speakers will be John Petroskas, Shelter & Housing Specialist with the Minneapolis nonprofit MESH (Metrowide Engagement on Shelter and Housing), and Chuck Phenix. Petroskas works on behalf of MESH to coordinate the provision of social services at the county level and to facilitate a regional approach to planning and support for homeless people. Phenix has experienced homelessness locally and is a long-time volunteer at the Dorothy Day Center in St. Paul.
Both of the speakers are avid public library users with insights to share on poverty, homelessness, and library services of help to poor people.
